A Fall Fest Birthday

A Fall Fest Birthday

For Marreana’s birthday we wanted to celebrate with a few friends and take advantage of the last of the fall weather! Before the party we headed to our local pumpkin patch to pick up some fall decorations. We found pumpkins in different colors and sizes to place on the tables and around the yard. We also set up a couple of fire pits and heaters outside to keep warm. From a delicious cake to individual charcuterie boxes the food was all yummy and on theme. Keep reading to see all of our fall fest party details!

To drink we had spiced apple Prosecco with local apple cider and a cinnamon apple slice!
Tip: we squeezed a little fresh lemon on the apples to keep them from browning.
We also had individually wrapped caramel apples topped with nuts and crumbled apple pie topping, for all our friends to take home!

For the tablescape, we started with a black gingham tablecloth, added a natural runner, a Boston firm left over from the Summer in the center and surrounded it with a couple orange and yellow mums, big and small pumpkins, and gourds.

We made sure to light candles all around the tables and yard to finish creating our warm, cozy, harvest environment!

We had so much fun creating this birthday theme and hope it can give you some ideas for a future party during the fall months!

Our Must Watch List (in or out of quarantine)

Our Must Watch List (in or out of quarantine)

After spending months inside due to the current crisis our world is facing, we found ways to keep busy and pass the time. Sometimes we were productive, other times we enjoyed curling up and watching one of our favorite movies or binging a new Netflix show.

We wanted to make a post about all of our go-to movies to watch, whether you’re in quarantine or not –maybe just for a rainy day, that we could never get sick of!

We love classic romantic comedies. Some of these movies are older than others, but all in all, they are timeless. We find ourselves scrolling to these same movies over and over again. In our house, we can all agree that we want to watch a movie that will make us feel good, or even make us have a good laugh!

Let’s go through a list of some of our favorite movies, please reference the next time you’re stuck in a cycle of scrolling through the same five categories on Netflix, Prime or Hulu!

Sure, this movie was deemed in the “Christmas” category, but we believe in watching it year round!

5. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Hearing Matthew McConaughey talk about he and Kate Hudson’s chemistry in this movie NOW, only makes this flick better

6. Maid in Manhattan

This movie will forever give us all the feels

7. Book Club

8. The Proposal

9. 27 Dresses

All we have to say is…Benny and the Jets…please watch to understand the reference!

10. Something Borrowed

All any rom com ever needs is a role played by John Krasinski.

11. Crazy Rich Asains

12. The Other Woman

And when we want to binge a TV show instead, these are the series we find ourselves starting over again the second we finish!
